| Aspyr was originally not planning to hold a booth at this show after wowing gamers at the last two Macworlds with Tomb Raider Gold and Tomb Raider II. While the company announced earlier this year that it signed with Electronic Arts to publish Madden 2000 on the Macintosh, it did not forcast being able to provide playable demos by July of this year.
Thanks to the team at Westlake Interactive (the porting house), however, Aspyr was able to squeeze into the show at the last minute showing playable demos of not only Madden 2000, but Tomb Raider III as well! As if that wasn't enough, Aspyr also announced that it has gotten the permission from Electronic Arts and Firaxis to port and publish Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri.
